Davidson Center



The archeological garden which lays at the feet of Temple Mount. A collection of important discoveries from the first and second Temple period as well as other eras of Jerusalem's history. A film about pilgrims to the Holy City will bring you back in time.

Zedekiah's Cave



Below the houses of the old city is hidden a cave, breathtaking due to its size and beauty. Fine building stones know by their Arabic name "Malkeh", were quarried here. These stones were used to build the most luxurious buildings of Jerusalem. It is thought that the first quarrying took place here at the time of the first Temple.  One of Jerusalem's most spectacular sites.

The Four Sephardi Synagogues



A unique compound from the 16th century consists of four synagogues belonging to the Sephardi community. Many stories and legends are intertwined around the synagogues. The quarter's residents and its defenders gathered in the synagogues in the last days before expulsion from the Old City.Address: 2 Mismarot Hakehuna street

Batei Machse Square



Batei Machse was the first neighbourhood built in the modern era by Jews. The "Batei Machse company" received a permit and started the building of the first group of apartments of unrivaled beauty compared to ancient Jerusalem. Over the years, donors built additional houses in the neighborhood and amongst them the grand "Rothschild house".

Gal-Ed



In the war of independence, warriors and civilians fell, needing to be buried. Being impossible to extract them from the Quarter, temporary burial permission was given for one of the courtyards. After the six-day war their bones were transferred to a mass grave on the Mount of Olives.

The Wohl Museum-The Herodian quarter

The Stepped Pool – information center



Excavations have uncovered that the city's residents lived in striking houses and in every house were a number of mikvehs (ritual baths). Unveiled in the Jewish quarter, a very different mikveh that is accessible from four sides. Information center on site.

The Hurva Synagogue



The most splendid synagogue in the Jewish Quarter, containing the tallest Aron Hakodesh (Torah ark) in the world, wall paintings, archeological findings and an observation point for a 360º view of the Old City. The synagogue is the greatest example of devotion and love for Jerusalem.

Jewish Quarter Defender's Memorial



The story of the fall of Jerusalem in 5708 (1948). A photographic display of the last days and surrender of the Quarter in the war of independence. The site has a film that portrays the testimony of warriors who defended the Jewish Quarter, the drama and tragedy of the quarter's residents and defenders.

The Western Wall Company's House



A new presentation tells the story for the first time of the Western wall company. A story almost forgotten by history. A group of youths that acted heroically against the British mandate to preserve the tradition and connection between the Jewish people and the Western Wall.

The Broad Wall



After King Hezekia rebelled against the Assyrian empire, a huge Assyrian army set out to return the world to their concept of order, as it was before the rebellion of Hezekia and his comrades. In preparation for the arrival of the Assyrian army he built a wall to strengthen and fortify Jerusalem.

The Israelite Tower

The Burnt House

The Cardo



The eastern Cardo is the main street of Jerusalem from the Byzantine period. Jerusalem's cardo starts at Damascus gate in the north and crosses the city southward to the area of Jaffa gate. Today the Cardo is a tourist and commercial center teeming with life.

Madaba Map



Archeological excavations at the end of the 19th century by archeologists in the Jordanian city of Madaba, uncovered a mosaic floor with a geographic/religious depiction of the Holy Land. Jerusalem appears in a different light which depicts the structure of the city in that period of time.
