JQDC believes that the Jewish Quarter should be developed as a modern outdoor museum, where new cutting edge concepts are used to present the old and the ancient. In this manner, the new encases the old, floating it to the surface for the benefit of tourists and residents alike.
The halls of this open-air museum are the various sites dispersed among its alleys: archeological sites, special synagogues and unique museums. By planning in advance, these sites will be able to offer varied attractions and continuation.
However, opposed to the "usual" open-air museum, where the entire area is a museum, the Jewish Quarter is a vibrant urban locality surrounded by historic sites of prime national importance.
