Mapping and Registration of the Jewish Quarter |

Initiating a historical process, over a year ago JQDC began an attempt to register all real-estate assets in the Quarter with the Land Registry Office. This unique registration project is complex, important and challenging.
The aims of the project are:
• Registration of all lessees' property with the Land Registration Office, as required by law.
• Location of government property, its realization, and transfer of control to the State.
• Precise mapping of ownership rights and maintenance throughout the Quarter.
• A pilot mapping project is currently being carried out at Ha-Meshorerim Street in the Quarter. This pilot project will allow JQDC to devise and implement correct and proper mapping and registration methods that take into account all legal and practical guidelines for their implementation in the full scale project.
