"Market Rooftops" is the name of the promenade above the Old City market rooftops. The site is situated at the historic meeting point of the ancient Roman avenues, the Cardo and the Decumanus, and is also the meeting point of the four quarters of the city. This crossroads offers a unique vantage point of the Temple Mount, the Tower of Phasael and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher.
The first phase of the construction of the promenade was undertaken by the Jerusalem Municipality. The second stage will be carried out by JQDC. The promenade is significant to tourism, as it affords easy access from the Jewish Quarter to all other areas of the Old City.
