Description
The Four Sephardic Synagogues were originally built towards the end of the 16th century. The site is also known as The Yochanan Ben-Zakai Center. Under Jordanian rule, the synagogues were used as warehouses and stables. They were restored after the reunification of Jerusalem, and reopened in 1972. Some of the synagogues are furnished with antiques from ancient Italian synagogues.
