The company is functions as a government company, in accordance with all the rules and regulations currently effective.
JQDC has a 12-member board of directors.
JQDC does not receive any government support or aid relating to the implementation of its current activities.
Financially, company activities are within the confines a balanced budget and under comprehensive budgetary control procedures.
The last intifada caused a dramatic reduction in the number of visitors to the sites and museums in the Quarter. During the intifada, JQDC initiated significant rent reductions for commercial properties rented out by the company, to prevent closing of businesses in the Jewish Quarter or their transfer to non-desirous entities. These actions reduced Company income during that period.
The last year has seen a significant increase in demand for commercial properties in the Quarter.
